Job Description

We are seeking a Finance Operations Specialist to support the efficient execution of finance operations by ensuring accurate financial processing, effective cash and treasury management, and compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
Responsibilities
- Process supplier, statutory, intercompany and other payments in accordance with the Company's approval and authorization matrices.
- Monitor cash and bank balances, maintain accurate cash books, record banking transactions promptly, and flag funding requirements or surplus cash positions.
- Support month-end and year-end close in accordance with IAS 21.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and supporting schedules in accordance with IFRS.
- Maintain fixed asset records, including capitalization, depreciation schedules, asset register updates and lease accounting under IFRS 16 where applicable.
- Perform timely bank reconciliations for all Company bank accounts and investigate and clear reconciling items.
- Maintain support for related-party transactions and compliance with Tanzania transfer pricing and Tanzania Revenue Authority requirements.
- Prepare and issue accurate customer invoices in accordance with contractual billing terms for colocation, managed services, cloud and other ICT services.
- Maintain organized, audit-ready financial records in line with Company policy and statutory requirements.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field.
- Professional accounting qualification such as CPA, ACCA or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years' progressive experience in financial accounting, finance operations or a similar role, preferably in a fast-growing, capital-intensive, infrastructure, data centre or telecommunications environment.
- Practical experience in IFRS-compliant financial reporting, payment processing, treasury and bank reconciliations.
- Experience providing audit support.
Soft Skills
- Proficiency in finance and accounting systems.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for reconciliation, analysis and reporting, with working proficiency in PowerPoint and Word.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines and operational priorities independently.
