Job Title: Senior Accountant

Department: Finance

Reports To: Finance Manager

JOB PURPOSE

The Senior Accountant manages day-to-day accounting activities, prepares financial reports, ensures compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and assists with budgeting, audits, and financial analysis.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and review accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Manage and maintain the general ledger and ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded.
• Review accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions and ensure timely processing.
• Conduct monthly bank, supplier, customer, and other account reconciliations.
• Prepare budgets, cash-flow forecasts, and monitor financial performance against approved budgets.
• Analyze financial results and provide management with reports on variances and financial performance.
• Ensure timely preparation and submission of tax returns and other statutory financial obligations.
• Review payroll accounting entries, statutory deductions, and payroll-related reconciliations.
• Maintain effective internal financial controls and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and provide required financial records and supporting documents.
• Maintain accurate fixed asset records and ensure proper accounting for depreciation, additions, and disposals.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax laws, and other financial regulations.
• Liaise with management, clients, suppliers, auditors, banks, and other stakeholders on accounting and financial matters.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• CPA (T) or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in financial accounting and reporting.
• Proficiency in ERP system and Microsoft excel, with strong analytical skills.
