Role Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Liner Sales Executive to join our team in Tanzania. The Liner Sales Executive will be responsible for driving sales of liner shipping services by identifying new business opportunities, maintaining strong customer relationships, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The role involves promoting the company’s shipping services, meeting revenue targets, and supporting overall commercial growth.

Contract: Permanent

Location: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Managing and growing own portfolio of customers and opportunities (focusing on medium and large accounts).
  • Creation of new customer codes.
  • Processing rate and free time filing requests.
  • Actively promote the Quick Quote, and digital products and processes.
  • Review account performance.
  • Conducting account planning and derive an account strategy including an action plan to develop customers / opportunities.
  • Participating in weekly coaching sessions with Sales Manager to review past sales activities and align activities for the future.
  • Conduct weekly sales calls targeting the agreed sales focus, develop, secure and maintain most profitable business
  • Coordinating credit applications in coordination with Sales Management and Finance.
  • Supply feedback about market information.
  • Preparing visit plans and visit reports and insert in CRM.
  • Resolve RAQA and RAAF query reports within deadlines.
  • Resolve vessel audit report within deadlines.
  • Assist with CH portfolio.
  • Coordinate to meet 100% space utilization of the vessel

Who You Are:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar or related role.
  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Shipping, Business Administration, Sale and Marketing or related field.
  • Good understanding of port operations and port agency services.
  • Shipping Agency experience
  • Proficiency in MS Office and shipping/ERP systems Good oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Highly organized with good time-management skills
  • Good problem solving & analytical skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
