Job Purpose

The Marketing Executive – Strategic Relationships is responsible for building, managing, and strengthening the company's external partnerships and professional relationships. The role focuses on expanding the company's brand presence through collaboration with influencers, media professionals, industry associations, construction sector stakeholders, and strategic business partners. The successful candidate will serve as a key representative of the Lumac brand and support business growth through relationship development and partnership initiatives.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Influencer and Creator Partnerships

  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard influencers, content creators, media personalities, and brand ambassadors who align with the company's brand objectives.
  • Manage active influencer and content creator partnerships and ensure all deliverables are completed according to agreed requirements.
  • Coordinate content reviews and ensure brand consistency across all collaborations.
  • Negotiate partnership agreements and coordinate contracts with relevant internal departments.
  • Monitor and evaluate campaign performance, including reach, engagement, lead generation, and conversion results.
  • Prepare reports and recommendations to improve partnership effectiveness.

Industry and Institutional Relationships

  • Build and maintain relationships with architects, engineering firms, property developers, construction companies, real estate organizations, industry associations, and government institutions.
  • Represent the company at exhibitions, conferences, seminars, networking events, and industry forums.
  • Identify opportunities for strategic partnerships, co-branding initiatives, and collaborative marketing activities.
  • Work closely with the sales team to convert partnership-generated opportunities into business projects.

Media and Public Relations

  • Develop and maintain relationships with print, digital, and broadcast media organizations.
  • Coordinate media engagements, press releases, interviews, feature stories, and publicity campaigns.
  • Support the implementation of the company's communication and public relations strategy.
  • Monitor the company's reputation and identify potential reputational risks for management attention.

Reporting and Administration

  • Maintain accurate records of active and potential partnerships, collaborations, and stakeholder engagements.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports on partnership activities and performance.
  • Track contractual obligations and ensure compliance with agreed deliverables.
  • Maintain an updated database of partnership opportunities and stakeholder contacts.

Events, Workshops, and Industry Engagement

  • Plan, coordinate, and manage participation in exhibitions, trade fairs, conferences, workshops, seminars, product launches, and networking events.
  • Organize stakeholder engagement activities, training sessions, and business networking opportunities.
  • Identify speaking opportunities and events that strengthen the company's market visibility and industry position.
  • Coordinate event logistics, sponsorship activities, branding materials, and promotional campaigns.
  • Build relationships with event organizers, professional associations, educational institutions, and industry bodies.
  • Measure event performance, including attendance, brand exposure, lead generation, partnership opportunities, and return on investment.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to ensure events support business development and brand awareness objectives.
  • Maintain an annual calendar of relevant industry events and engagement opportunities.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business Development, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in marketing, public relations, influencer management, partnerships, or business development.
  • Demonstrated professional network within media, influencer, construction, property development, or related sectors.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Swahili.
  • Strong negotiation, networking, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple partnerships simultaneously.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
