Agricultural Commodities Procurement & Sales Executive

Location: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Source and procure pulses, oilseeds and raw cashew nuts through farmers, cooperatives, aggregators and traders.
• Develop and maintain a reliable supplier network and monitor commodity market prices and trends.
• Manage procurement activities through the TMX platform.
• Coordinate with warehouse, quality control and logistics teams to ensure efficient movement, storage and handling of commodities.
• Monitor stock, warehouse receipts, transportation and related costs.
• Drive sales of soybean meal in Tanzania and neighbouring markets.
• Develop new customers and market opportunities across Eastern, Central and Southern Africa.
• Conduct market intelligence covering supply, demand, competitors and key developments in the poultry, livestock, dairy and animal-feed sectors.
• Negotiate commercial terms and ensure timely delivery to customers.
• Achieve agreed procurement and sales targets.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• At least 5 years' experience in agricultural commodity procurement, trading or operations.
• Experience in Tanzanian pulses, oilseed and/or cashew markets is highly desirable.
• Established relationships with farmers, aggregators, cooperatives and commodity traders will be an advantage.
• Good understanding of commodity quality standards and agricultural supply chains.
• Working knowledge of the TMX platform and commodity procurement processes.
• Knowledge of warehousing, logistics and transportation.
