A bachelor's degree in computer science, statistics, economics, IT or any relevant quantitative discipline.

1 to 3 years' experience in of hands on experience in data/BI analysis with demostrable output (dashboard, automated pipelines, analytical models.

Location: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

Your profile

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex datasets into actionable business insights and recommendations;
• Advanced proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Power BI, Metabase), with experience designing and maintaining interactive dashboards;
• Solid experience writing and optimizing SQL queries to extract, transform, and validate data from multiple sources, including operational systems and third-party platforms;
• Experience in automating data workflows and reporting processes (e.g., Power Query, Python or similar tools), improving efficiency and reducing manual intervention;
• Strong understanding of business and operational metrics (sales, customer behavior, delivery performance) and their linkage to financial outcomes (revenue, margins, cost-to-serve);
• Proven ability to support commercial and growth analysis, including cohort analysis, channel performance, retention trends, and ROI modeling;
• Experience implementing and maintaining data quality controls, including validation checks, anomaly detection, and ensuring data integrity;
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and reliability of data used for decision-making;
• Proactive mindset with strong critical thinking, able to anticipate issues, identify trends, and propose data-driven solutions;
• Fluency in English.

Your challenges

• Translate strategic objectives into data-driven insights and analytical frameworks, ensuring alignment between business goals and operational performance;
• Monitor business performance and market trends through data analysis, identifying patterns, risks, and opportunities to support decision making;
• Support planning and forecasting processes by providing accurate, data-backed inputs and performance tracking across departments;
• Standardize and enhance reporting processes by developing scalable dashboards, structured datasets, and automated reports;
• Consolidate, clean, and validate data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability for analysis;
• Develop and maintain analytical models to support scenario analysis, business performance evaluation, and growth initiatives;
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and cost drivers, identifying inefficiencies and opportunities for optimization;
• Build a strong understanding of business drivers, including customer behavior, revenue streams, operational performance, and unit economics;
• Communicate insights effectively through clear data visualization and storytelling, enabling stakeholders to make informed decisions.
