JOB PURPOSE

The successful candidate will be responsible for General Ledger month-end close and providing accurate, reliable, and complete historic financial information to all stakeholders.

The role also supports the Record to Report Manager in driving system-based reporting, financial analytics and continuous process improvement across KSCL and IDTL, in a manner suited to a modern finance function.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare, if applicable, and process journal entries.
• Responsible for intercompany reconciliations and reporting.
• Prepare relevant sub-ledger reconciliations.
• Responsible for balance sheet reconciliations.
• Provide timely and accurate responses to all matters raised regarding General Ledger close.
• Prepare Country on a Page (COAP) with balance sheet notes for Kilombero and IDTL.
• Manage the interim and final external audit.
• Prepare year-end reporting pack in compliance with IFRS.
• Prepare the Company’s annual financial statement in accordance with IFRS.
• Respond to audit inquiries timeously.
• Perform internal controls reviews as per the agreed plan.
• Responsible for the fixed asset register of the business.
• Support SAP S/4HANA-based General Ledger, sub-ledger and reconciliation processes as a system key user.
• Support the preparation and monitoring of financial models used for reporting purposes.
• Perform financial and variance analysis using Excel-based analytics to support management decision-making.
• Support automation and continuous improvement of monthly reporting templates and reconciliation processes.
• Assist with balance sheet forecasting and other FP&A activities as required.

MUST-HAVE SKILLS

• Working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA or a similar ERP system will be an added advantage.
• Strong Excel and financial data analysis skills.

GOOD-TO-HAVE SKILLS

• Exposure to financial modelling will be an added advantage.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Business Administration or equivalent from a recognized institution.
• 3 years of relevant working experience.
• A holder of CPA/ACCA.

TERMS OF SERVICE

The successful candidate will be engaged on a Permanent Contract.
