Financial reporting & analyst (Woman or man)

• Education: A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
• Experience: 3 to 5 years’ experience in financial reporting, audit or financial planning & analysis (FP&A) or high growth commercial environment.
• Location: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

Your profile

• Strong financial analysis and modeling capabilities, with the ability to interpret financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) and generate actionable insights
• Advanced proficiency in financial systems and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, ERP systems, Power BI), with experience in building dashboards and automated reporting
• Solid expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, including the ability to provide structured commentary for management review
• Strong understanding of month-end and quarter-end close processes, including data consolidation, journal review, and reconciliation
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of financial reports
• Proven ability to support strategic decision-making through scenario modeling, breakeven analysis, and cost-benefit evaluation
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with Sales, Operations, and Logistics to validate data and assumptions
• Proactive, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to anticipate issues and respond effectively under pressure
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly to senior stakeholders
• Fluency in English

Your challenges

• Translate strategic objectives into financial plans, ensuring alignment between business goals and financial performance
• Monitor business performance and market trends, analyzing variances and identifying risks and opportunities for management decision-making
• Lead budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment across departments
• Standardize and improve financial reporting processes, including development of structured templates and automated tools
• Consolidate and validate financial and operational data from multiple sources to ensure data integrity and reliability
• Support financial modeling and scenario analysis to assess business performance, investments, and growth opportunities
• Manage reporting timelines, ensuring timely delivery of monthly and quarterly financial reports
• Oversee budget tracking and cost control, ensuring adherence to financial targets and identifying cost optimization opportunities
• Develop a strong understanding of business drivers, including revenue streams, cost structures, and unit economics
• Effectively communicate financial insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner
