Job Description
Project Business Analyst is an integral role in business and projects executions in FINCA Microfinance Bank TZ. Ltd. The role includes coordination of projects related with business operations, improving, and building a sustainable customer base and satisfaction. The Project Business Analyst also delivers day to day operations within project team by assuming key roles such as business requirements lead, user acceptance testing lead, documentation, and analysis.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Visualizing proactively short-term and long-term business goals and translate stakeholder’s requirements into meaningful business technical and non-technical solutions.
- Gathering, documenting, analyzing, presenting and communicating business requirements and specifications per required business analysis industry standard through structured, versioned and named templates per the Project Management Framework used.
- Prepare components or elements of business cases as required for various projects.
- Prepare concept notes for various proof-of-concepts or preliminary to any project with assistance of respective departments, prior to any project
- Responsible for preparing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and any other kind of tests through industry standard methodologies and means that are innovative per project management standards.
- Prepare pilot rollout plan; Identify data entry scope for application users, prepare data entry source reflecting the actual business operations performed. Identify the expected result for data entry activity in coordination with the bank’s Finance, Commercial, Credit and Operations departments.
- Work with bank’s teams to define a set of performance targets for system functionality. Monitor the post-implementation performance of system application functionality. Ensure the application adequately responds the functional needs of the bank.
- Prepare user guides and provide training to end users in collaboration with bank’s training manager
- Maintain ongoing communications with application users and stakeholders to determine areas where data entry and processing can be improved, and proactively recommend such improvements to Head of Research and Business Development.
- Responsible for documenting and consolidating all changes executed during the project life cycle, and report to Head of Research and Business Development.
QUALIFICATION AND COMPETENCE
Education Background & Experience:
- Undergraduate degree in areas of Business Management, Banking, Accounting, Commerce, Technology and / or relevant fields.
- Background in Information Technology field will be an added advantage.
- Any Business Analysis Certification will be considered an advantage
- Minimum of two years’ experience in the financial sector; 3–5 years preferred for complex project involvement.
- Proficient in English – Speaking and Writing
Computer Skills:
- Microsoft Office Package – Advanced Level
- Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Trello) and modeling tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart)
- Microsoft OneNote – Intermediate Level
- Experience with any Core Banking System
- Comfortable with keyboard typing.
