Tabono Consult was set up in 2020 amid the Covid19 crisis with a core purpose of providing expert HR services to small and medium sized businesses as and when needed.

Sales & Marketing Manager - 1 Post
Key Outputs
- Deliver consistent revenue growth by meeting and exceeding agreed sales targets.

MEL Officer - 1 Posts
Key duties and Responsibilities
Monitoring;
- Oversee and execute M&E activities with a particular focus on results and impacts as well as in lesson learnt
- Coordinate the development of monitoring and evaluation framework, MEL plan included in accordance with the overall strategic plan
- Facilitate an efficient Management Information System to enable systematic and efficient reporting
- Develop and maintain monitoring and reporting systems for the Strategic plan and projects-based reporting (NORAD, SDC, EU projects)
- Conduct monitoring and support visits to facilitate smooth implementation of EU project activities.
- Prepare and review monitoring tools for data collection
- Provide technical support and training on MEL and MIS to Secretariat staff.
- Evaluation;
- Supervise the implementation of baseline assessments, surveys, mid-term and end line evaluations of the strategic plan and projects including the Education Out Loud and European Union projects as an integral part of the MEL system
- Develop ToRs for specific evaluation and supervise consultants to implement evaluations required for evaluating PF interventions and strategic plan.
- Conduct pre and post training evaluations during training and capacity building sessions to assess knowledge change and gaps to best inform programs.
Reporting and Documentation;
- Ensure reporting adheres to M&E Framework
- Review reports uploaded in the MIS system
- Ensure data quality of the reports in the MIS system
- Consolidate mid and Annual progress reports
- Coordinate the preparation of donor reports for specific projects
- Identify and document case stories on the advocacy work
- Consolidate quarterly reports to NGOs registrar
Planning;
- Prepare MEL work plan and budget for the supported projects.
- Assist program team to develop annual work plans to adhere to the strategic plan.
- Review semiannual plans to track the progress in implementation of the annual plans.
Learning;
- Coordinate review meetings to facilitate learning within the secretariat and the network. These includes the semiannual and annual program reviews
- Ensure documentation and dissemination of lessons learned throughout the year
- Identify gaps in existing MIS systems and propose solutions to improve the system.
- Share learning from MEL process with the secretariat staff and the network in their advocacy work.
- Organize learning sessions to promote learning culture and best practices
- Others Enhance capacity of PF members on results‐oriented programming and Outcome Mapping approach to monitoring and evaluation.
- Assist program managers in developing realistic monitoring plans that capture quantitative and qualitative data to report on performance, outcomes and results.
- Support the EOL and EU project activities implementation
- Participate in regular (weekly and monthly) project meetings to discuss progress implementation approaches
- Work in collaboration with external organizations where required.
- Support program team in proposal write up and project designing
Key Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in social science, Research /Monitoring and evaluation or a related field.
- At least 3 years’ experience in designing and implementing monitoring, evaluation and learning systems
- Demonstrated ability in leading the monitoring, evaluation and Learning activities.
- Experience in designing survey tools, data collection, statistical analysis, qualitative methodology.
- Experience using statistical software packages or databases. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel in particular.
- Previous experience working in a similar organizational context.
- Experience and understanding of effective dissemination and communication of research/evaluation findings within both internal and external organizational settings.
Finance & Admin Assistant - 1 Post
Key Responsibilities
Finance Support
- Process and record day-to-day financial transactions in line with PF’s financial guidelines and IPSAS standards.
- Prepare payment vouchers, journals, reconciliations, and ensure supporting documents are complete, authorized, and filed properly.
- Support cash flow management including petty cash handling, bank deposits, withdrawals, and reconciliations.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management, donors, and statutory bodies.
- Ensure statutory deductions (PAYE, NSSF, WCF, SDL, VAT, etc.) are accurately calculated, deducted, and remitted on time.
- Assist in budget formulation, and tracking for projects and organization funds; highlight variances to the Finance & Administration Manager.
- Support in the preparation of audit schedules and provide documentation for internal and external audits.
- Administration Support
- Provide logistical support for workshops, board meetings, and events, including venue booking, travel arrangements, and documentation.
- Maintain updated staff leave records, contracts, and HR files in compliance with PF’s HR policies.
- Manage office supplies, equipment, and service contracts (utilities, security, cleaning, repairs, insurance)
- Support procurement processes, ensuring adherence to PF’s procurement policy and donor requirements.
- Assist in maintaining asset registers and ensuring regular updates, tagging, and condition monitoring.
- Compliance & Systems
- Support the implementation of PF’s internal control systems and recommend improvements where necessary.
- Ensure all financial and administrative processes comply with Tanzanian laws (Labour, Tax, NGO Act) and donor contracts.
- Contribute to the maintenance and updating of PF’s MIS (Management Information System) with accurate finance and HR data.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in finance and administration, preferably in an NGO or donor-funded project like, EU and USAID
- Familiarity with IPSAS, Final Accounts, Tanzanian tax/statutory compliance, and NGO regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and use of Management Information system (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, or similar) and Microsoft Office (Advance Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
- High integrity, confidentiality, and commitment to transparency.
- Fluency in English and Kiswahili, both spoken and written.
