  • The APM will focus on providing operational, financial, and commercial support to CE staff and subcons on the project. Responsibilities include:
  • Support project the establishment; help train the local teams; support with the preparation of eforms.
  • Support with producing, formatting, and distributing Mott MacDonald branding compliant documents.
  • Maintaining timely and appropriate communication with, consultants, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  • Completing all necessary due diligence for companies/independent consultants and submit requests for sub-consultant insurance waivers to members of IDS/ISMA senior management as required.
  • Administrating and completing independent and subconsultant contracts.
  • Supporting financial management, monitoring budgets/timesheet bookings and status reporting.
  • Leading on the creation of IET Agreements, and monthly IET invoicing.
  • Support with the preparation of client invoices, and monthly forecasting for client
  • Review and process of consultants' invoices.
  • Assisting PM with monthly Progress Evaluations.
  • Reviewing, monitoring, and identifying risks in our projects, reporting progress periodically.
  • Guide the local team and help organising travel, logistics, and security arrangements.
  • Support with producing, formatting, and distributing of deliverables and reports.
  • Completing H&S and security risk assessments, and all other required BMS documentation.
  • Liaising closely with the Project Manager, Project Principal, and Commercial Lead as required.

Required Skills And Experience

  • Ability to plan and organise own work and that of others.
  • Proven internal and external stakeholder management and teamworking.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Competent numeracy skills with experience in creating and monitoring budgets and finances (to support financial controller and PM).
  • Proactive and able to use own initiative to solve problems and seek opportunities for continuous improvement.

Shule Bora aims to improve the quality of pre-primary and primary schools in Tanzania. There are four main outcomes: improving learning outcomes for all children, improving transition rates to secondary schools for girls, ensuring children are safe in and around schools, and helping children with disabilities access quality education.  If successful, Cambridge Education will design and implement Shule Bora in Tanzania over 6 years – March 2021 – March 2027.
