Job Description

The jobholder reports to the Head of Internal Audit. He/She is responsible for carrying out audit functions in the bank.

Responsibilities

  1. To carry out periodic internal audit projects and timely issue reports for supervisory review on each assignment.
  2. To conduct follow up confirm implementation of previous audit recommendation and other reports from assurance providers.
  3. To conduct review of audit manual, Charter and provide proposal for change in line with current professional practices.
  4. To conduct risk assessment and identify risk areas to be accommodated in annual audit plan.
  5. To undertake any other duties as assigned by the Head of Internal Audit from time to time.

Qualifications

  1. Holder of bachelor’s degree or Advanced Diploma in one of the following fields; Auditing, Accountancy, Finance, Business Administration/Commerce majoring in Accountancy or Finance or equivalent qualifications from recognized institutions.
  2. Internationally recognized professional accountancy qualifications such as ACCA or CPA (T).
  3. Knowledge and skills in computer applications for auditing purposes.
  4. Working experience of at least seven (7) years in related field.
