Business Analyst Business Performance & Insights at Access Bank Tanzania

The Business Analyst will support business units by providing accurate reporting, data-driven insights, and analytical support to enable informed decision-making and improve business performance. The role will be responsible for analyzing business trends, developing performance reports, identifying opportunities for improvement, and translating data into actionable insights that support strategic and operational objectives.

Business Reporting & Insights

• Develop, maintain, and enhance business performance reports, dashboards, and analytical tools to support decision-making
• Analyse business data, trends, and performance indicators to identify insights, risks, opportunities, and areas requiring intervention
• Provide regular reporting on key business metrics, performance trends, and progress against targets
• Support business units in interpreting data and using insights to drive performance improvements
  

Data Analysis & Performance Monitoring

• Collect, validate, and analyse data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and reliability of reports
• Monitor business performance against agreed targets and highlight key variances and emerging trends
• Conduct root cause analysis on performance gaps and recommend practical solutions
• Support forecasting, business planning, and performance reviews through relevant data analysis
  

Stakeholder Support & Business Partnership

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate business needs into meaningful insights
• Partner with business teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies
• Prepare presentations and management reports that communicate insights clearly to relevant stakeholders
• Support business review meetings by providing relevant analysis and performance updates
  

Reporting Automation & Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes through automation and enhanced data visualization
• Develop and maintain dashboards using relevant reporting and analytics tools
• Ensure reporting processes are efficient, accurate, and aligned with business requirements
• Promote data-driven decision-making across business units
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, Finance, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in business analysis, reporting, data analytics, performance management, or a related role
• Experience in developing management reports, dashboards, and business insights
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate findings into business recommendations
• Experience working with reporting and visualization tools such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms
• Strong understanding of business performance metrics and reporting principles
