Corporate Banker at KCB Bank Tanzania

KCB Bank Tanzania is seeking a qualified and experienced Corporate Banker to support the growth and management of its corporate banking portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting credit analysis, preparing high-quality credit reports, maintaining accurate portfolio information, ensuring compliance with KYC and AML requirements, and supporting relationship managers in delivering excellent service to corporate clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze market intelligence to support credit assessments and decision-making.
• Prepare comprehensive credit reports and recommendations for credit committee reviews.
• Conduct detailed reviews of credit requests, including analysis of financial statements and other credit information submitted by corporate clients.
• Work closely with Relationship Managers to prepare credit applications for new facilities and renewals in accordance with the bank's credit policies.
• Ensure full compliance with Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) requirements by undertaking appropriate due diligence measures.
• Maintain and update financial information related to loan accounts, including financial covenants, interim reports, and pricing spreads.
• Monitor customer accounts to ensure that any excesses are identified and appropriately approved.
• Carry out economic reviews, industry analyses, stress testing, and self-assessments to support effective credit portfolio management.
• Proactively monitor the credit portfolio to identify and address potential problem accounts at an early stage.
• Review security documentation for corporate accounts on an annual basis to ensure completeness and validity.
• Deliver high-quality customer service in line with the bank's mission and service standards.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a recognized institution (Required).
• A Master's degree in a business-related field will be considered an added advantage.
• Professional qualifications such as AKIB, CPA (K), or ACCA are considered essential.

Experience Requirements
Applicants should possess a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience, including:

• At least 2 years of experience in sales within Personal Banking, Business Banking, Retail Banking, or in a sales management role.
• At least 2 years of credit analysis or credit management experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in banking operations, including cash management, clearing, accounts, and administration.
• Experience in customer service and relationship management will be considered an added advantage.
