Job Description

• Act as the primary architect and champion of the bank's payments strategy within the CIB division
• Serve in a high-visibility leadership role to transform the Tanzanian financial landscape
• Solve real-world problems for local, large regional corporates, and global organizations
• Hold end-to-end accountability for the full lifecycle of Domestic and Cross-Border Payments, Physical Cash Solutions, and Liquidity Management
• Drive product innovation and a high-performance sales strategy to maximize market share and optimize the balance sheet

Qualifications

• First Degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field
• MBA or professional certification (e.g., CertICM) is highly preferred

Experience Required

• 10+ years in Transactional Banking or Payments
• At least 5 years in a senior leadership role within a top-tier bank
• 5-7 years of experience working within a multinational banking environment
• Deep expertise in East African payment rails, liquidity management structures, and Tanzanian financial regulations
• Experience in a similar role combining product management and business development in the Tanzanian banking market
• Familiarity with regional and global financial market trends, particularly in Africa
