Job Description
Organization: Bank of Africa Tanzania (BOA Tanzania)
Reports To: Head of Human Resource
Level: Manager
Job Purpose
Partner with business units to drive people strategies that enhance performance, employee engagement, and organizational effectiveness while ensuring alignment with the Bank's strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee bank-wide performance management processes, including objective setting, monthly and annual performance reviews, and performance improvement plans.
- Drive employee engagement and organizational culture initiatives through surveys, feedback mechanisms, action plans, and branch visits to assess staff morale.
- Manage talent acquisition and workforce planning in line with business needs and approved organizational structure.
- Handle employee relations matters, including disciplinary processes, grievance handling, and compliance with labour laws.
- Support the review and updating of the HR Manual and HR policies.
- Prepare HR reports for local management and Group reporting.
- Coordinate and implement employee engagement activities and events to improve staff morale and retention.
- Support the execution of HR strategies and initiatives aligned with business objectives.
- Identify high-potential employees and support talent development initiatives.
- Provide strategic HR advice and guidance to line managers on employee relations and team performance.
- Monitor employee turnover trends and workforce analytics, recommending strategies to improve retention.
- Ensure accurate HR data management and reporting for decision-making and regulatory compliance.
- Support succession planning for critical roles across the Bank.
- Participate in organizational change management and restructuring initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with HR policies, procedures, and governance frameworks across the Bank.
- Facilitate onboarding and integration of new employees to improve productivity and employee experience.

Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
- Master's degree is an added advantage.
- Professional HR certification such as SHRM, CIPD, or HRCI is an added advantage.
- 5–8 years of HR experience, including experience in HR business partnering.
