Relationship Manager Commercial Chinese Desk at NMB Bank Tanzania

Responsible for advising the Business Banking Commercial department on strategy towards growing customer base of Chinese Commercial businesses.

Main Responsibilities:

• Actively selling deposits, loans, and other banks products (forex, internet banking, trade products etc.) to Chinese Commercial customers.
• Appraise credit applications above the Branch limit and provide recommendations for decision making.
• Advise the Snr. Manager on all aspects relating to developing Chinese Commercial businesses (Asset & Liabilities)
• Take a leading role in driving Chinese customer growth, through networking and promoting relevant activities while working with Relationship Officers and Branch Managers.
• Actively building capacity of the Relationship Officers through on-going mentoring and support to ensure quality credit application and business growth.
• Review Chinese customers' feedback, market intelligence, workshops/focus group reports and review product design and performance to establish if change, redesign or re-launch is appropriate.
• Co-ordinate budget objectives on responsible areas under Chinese businesses to ensure targets are achieved as per approved budget.
• Ensure customer satisfaction for Chinese customers is achieved by providing accurate advice for selling in line with customers' expectations.
• Prepare budget and projections for loan and deposit products. The budget includes the list of existing, prospective, and potential customers to benefit from the loan and deposit products.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Good Credit analysis skills.
• Good customer relationship and sound understanding of bank loan products, policies and procedures.
• Conversant with standard computer applications (Excel, Word, and Access).
• Good communication skills
• Must be fluent in Chinese language.
• Good business management, leadership, coaching, and team building skills.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Banking or related fields.
• At least 4 years' experience in Retail Banking (SME and commercial Business) lending and/ or Business Banking relationship management role.
• Experience in dealing with the Chinese sector is a must.
