Job Description
DCB Commercial Bank PLC is a fully-fledged retail and commercial bank in Tanzania. The bank offers banking services to Individuals, Microfinance, Small to Medium sized Businesses (MSME), as well as large corporate clients. DCB Bank has a wide branch network of over 8 branches, over 1000 DCB Wakala Agents, and over 280 Umoja switch ATMs serving over 3 million customers across the country.
The bank is inviting qualified candidates to fill the position of Relationship Manager, Institutional Banking. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and growing institutional banking relationships and ensuring the delivery of high-quality customer service to enhance profitability and strengthen the Bank's market presence.
Responsibilities
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with institutional and liability customers to support growth and profitability.
- Cross-selling banking products and services to meet customer needs and maximize revenue.
- Monitoring the growth and performance of the transactional banking portfolio and developing effective tracking tools.
- Formulating and communicating business strategies to ensure clarity on performance, risks, and targets.
- Identifying, assessing, and reporting risks arising from customer relationships and transactions to safeguard the bank's interests.
- Appraising opportunities for synergy across customer segments and maintaining documented customer visit reports and relationship insights.
- Preparing sales documents, including proposals, agreements, and memos, to support timely closure of business deals.
- Maintaining high service standards to retain existing clients and attract new business.
- Gathering and analyzing monthly market data and competitor insights to recommend strategies for liability growth.
- Acting as the primary contact point for institutional customers and coordinating service delivery with relevant internal teams.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree from recognized university.
- 3 years' experience in Relationship Management or Institutional Banking.
- Strong understanding of liability products, institutional banking solutions, and market trends.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong business networks and customer relationships.
- Strong analytical, sales, and negotiation skills.
