Team Lead Asset & Liability Management (ALM) at Access Bank Tanzania

Team Lead: Asset & Liability Management (ALM) is responsible for managing the Bank's balance sheet to optimize profitability, liquidity, and financial risk exposure. The role oversees asset and liability strategies, monitors liquidity and interest rate risk, supports funding decisions, and provides insights to ensure sustainable growth and regulatory compliance.

Job Description:

• Manages the Bank's balance sheet
• Provides Pricing and advisory services Bank-wide
• Ensure investment bookings are in accordance with policy
• Advise treasury operations on investments to book
• Advise credit admin on government securities papers
• Monitoring of investment maturity date
• Ensures rates applied on investments and assets are in accordance with the Bank's ruling rates.
• Monitoring and ensure interbank placements and borrowings are within approved limits and required approvals are in place
• Monitor interest costs on placements
• Provide market information by monitoring and analyzing developments in the environment and their implications on placements portfolio and money markets
• Submit returns to CENTRAL BANK or equivalent as required and ensure accuracy of financial records, timely and accurate rendition of returns to statutory authorities
• Other duties as may be assigned by Superior
