Assistant Production Manager at GIPA FOODS

GIPA FOODS, under GIPA FOODS & GENERAL SUPPLIES LIMITED, is dedicated and specialised to cassava processing and value addition to minimize post-harvest losses and minimize scarcity of cassava products specifically Cassava Starch(Tapioca) both industrial and food grades, Cassava flour, Cassava chips (both food and industrial grades and recycling by-products in animal feeds in Tanzania. Role Description

This full-time, on-site Assistant Production Manager role is located in Mlandizi - Pwani, Tanzania.

• The Assistant Production Manager will assist in overseeing production processes, coordinating schedules, maintaining quality control, and managing the workforce to ensure efficient production.
• Responsibilities will include monitoring production equipment, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, troubleshooting issues, and liaising with suppliers and other departments to streamline operations.

Qualifications

• Diploma/ Advanced certificate in production management, Industrial Engineering, Food Science and manufacturing sector more especially in food sector or any related field
• Experience in production management, quality control, and workflow optimization
• Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills
• Familiarity with cassava processing or food production environments is a plus
• Proficiency in troubleshooting production equipment and managing safety protocols
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks with deadlines
• Keen attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
• Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous
