Job Description
The ideal candidate will be disciplined and have experience in conducting product demonstrations. This candidate should be comfortable with frequent travel and be able to generate new sales leads on a regular basis. The candidate should be able to keep track of their sales and effectively communicate with other team members while out in the field.
Responsibilities
- Take full responsibility for achieving regional sales targets, increasing market share, and improving overall business performance.
- Develop and execute monthly and quarterly regional sales plans, and track sales volume, inventory, collections, and key product performance.
- Develop, maintain, and improve relationships with distributors, dealers, and key retail customers.
- Expand regional sales channels and improve retail coverage, product display, and execution of retail standards.
- Lead the regional execution of new product launches, promotional campaigns, and GTM projects.
- Conduct regular market visits and collect information on competitors’ products, pricing, channels, and promotional activities.
- Manage the regional sales and retail teams, including target setting, daily management, performance tracking, and capability development.
- Coordinate with sales, retail, marketing, logistics, and other departments to resolve regional business issues.
Qualifications
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in sales, channel management, or retail operations, with at least 1 year of team management experience.
- Experience in the mobile phone, consumer electronics, telecommunications, home appliance, or FMCG industry is preferred.
- Good knowledge of the Tanzanian market, local customers, and retail channels.
- Strong sales, negotiation, data analysis, and team management skills.
- Strong sense of ownership, responsibility, execution, and problem-solving ability.
- Fluent in English and Swahili.
- Willing to travel frequently within the assigned region.
