Job Description
Department: Supply Chain Operations
Location: Tanzania
Reporting To: Supply Chain Lead
Duration: Internship (3–6 months)
About The Role
Jaza Energy Inc is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Supply Chain Intern to support day-to-day supply chain and operational activities. This role is ideal for a recent graduate with strong computer skills, a willingness to learn, and an interest in inventory management, procurement, logistics, and operational excellence.
The intern will gain hands-on experience supporting inventory control, data management, procurement processes, warehouse operations, and supply chain reporting within a fast-paced, growing organization.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory & Warehouse Support
- Assist in monitoring inventory movements and stock accuracy across warehouses and hubs.
- Support stock reconciliations and stock count activities.
- Verify inventory transactions and identify discrepancies for follow-up.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records within company systems.
Data Management & Reporting
- Update and maintain supply chain trackers, and reports.
- Perform data validation and ensure accuracy of operational records.
- Generate routine inventory, procurement, and logistics reports.
- Support analysis of operational data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
Procurement & Supplier Coordination
- Assist with purchase order tracking.
- Follow up with suppliers on deliveries and documentation.
- Ensure procurement records are complete and properly filed.
Logistics & Operations Support
- Track inbound and outbound shipments.
- Assist in coordinating deliveries between warehouses and suppliers.
- Support documentation for imports, clearances, and inventory transfers where required.
- Monitor service levels and escalate delays or operational issues.
Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and data accuracy.
- Support implementation of supply chain projects and initiatives.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities within the operations team.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with data analysis and reporting.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems, or procurement systems.
- Knowledge of supply chain processes and inventory control principles.
- Basic understanding of logistics and warehouse operations.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in:
- Supply Chain Management or a related field
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to learn new systems and software quickly.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
