Job Description
Sharp Financial Services Tanzania Limited is seeking an experienced and dynamic Team Leader, Payday Loan to lead the rollout of its Salary Loan product. The role involves managing sales operations, achieving loan disbursement targets, cultivating strong relationships with employers, and ensuring compliance with risk management policies. The Team Leader will also focus on optimizing the conversion of employer leads into signed MOUs while maintaining high operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Portfolio Growth and Relationship Management
- Oversee and grow the Salary Loan portfolio by identifying new opportunities, expanding employer partnerships, and ensuring strong performance.
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with employers to promote and sustain the Salary Loan product.
- Engage with employers to secure MOUs and foster ongoing collaboration.
- Act as the primary point of contact for employer partners, addressing queries, resolving concerns, and strengthening partnerships.
Sales Leadership and Target Achievement
- Lead sales efforts to achieve and exceed identified targets.
- Develop and implement strategies to drive loan uptake and enhance customer retention.
- Regularly track and analyze sales performance data, adjusting tactics to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
- Provide hands-on guidance to team members to close high-value employer deals.
Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure all loan disbursements and employer engagements comply with internal risk management policies and external regulatory requirements.
- Work with Risk and Compliance teams to monitor portfolio performance and mitigate potential risks effectively.
Reporting and Data-Driven Insights
- Prepare and present detailed weekly and monthly reports on employer engagement, loan performance, and portfolio growth.
- Analyze data to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities, recommending actionable improvements.
Team Leadership and Development
- Train, and mentor a high-performing sales team focused on achieving portfolio growth and customer satisfaction.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, providing constructive feedback and recognizing achievements.
- Foster a collaborative, innovative, and results-oriented team culture.
- Implement team-building activities and professional development programs to enhance team skills and morale.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Finance, or a related field.
- A Master’s degree or professional certification in Leadership, Sales, or Financial Services is a strong advantage.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, business development, or relationship management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of managing and growing loan portfolios, particularly salary-based loans in Banks or microfinance.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements in financial services.
Skills and Competencies:
