The Key Purpose of this role is to ensure that all inventory governance processes and documentation are executed and maintained accurately, ensuring that all physical inventory movements are correctly reflected in SAP. The role also supports primary and secondary distribution activities while maintaining inventory accuracy, compliance, and product quality standards.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Inventory Control
- Facilitate daily and monthly physical inventory counts.
- Conduct stock counts in accordance with company standards and procedures.
- Ensure handheld devices used during stock counting activities are correctly configured and maintained.
- Adhere to all physical pre-stock take procedures.
- Print and action pre-stock reports.
- Process all stock adjustments prior to stock takes, including sorted containers.
- Initiate stock takes in SAP and upload physical stock count data from the stock take system.
- Print stock variance reports and investigate all variances.
- Process and post all authorized unresolved variances.
- Complete stock take processes in SAP and print all relevant posting and audit reports.
- Compile daily stock packs and obtain the required signoffs from relevant stakeholders.
- Conduct ad hoc stock counts to investigate unresolved variances.
Stock Management and Administration
- Ensure all physical inventory movements are accurately reflected in SAP.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and supporting documentation.
- Assist in resolving and correcting invoice queries.
- Ensure inventory governance processes and controls are followed at all times.
Primary Distribution (PD) Shipments
- Ensure all Post Goods Issue (PGI) transactions have been processed.
- Verify that no deliveries are processed without corresponding shipment documentation.
- Ensure all inter-depot movement documentation is checked against inter-depot gate register records and filed accordingly.
- Follow up on outstanding inter-depot movements with breweries on a monthly basis.
Product Quality Management
- Ensure FIFO (First-In, First-Out) principles are applied to all stock movements.
- Print bin-pulling sheets to support correct stock rotation within the warehouse.
- Adhere to stock age policies and ensure all concessions are raised and approved where required.
- Ensure compliance with product recall policies and procedures.
- Ensure frozen stock is physically isolated and moved to the blocked stock zone in SAP to prevent order allocation and maintain accurate stock coverage reporting.
- Conduct ad hoc stock counts to investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Facilitate daily and monthly inventory verification activities to maintain stock integrity.

Minimum Requirements:
- Relevant 3-year Diploma or Degree.
- 2 to 3 years' experience in warehousing and inventory management.
- Computer literacy.
- SAP knowledge and experience will be advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Understanding of warehouse and inventory management processes.
