Job Description
The Maersk Project Logistics(MPL) project coordinator has the ownership of the operational execution across Ocean and Logistics and is responsible for file creation, coordination and closure of shipment files
This role reports into MPL Operations Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Creation and execution of customer shipments according to the implementation plan and customer requirements with regards to QHSE and reporting
- Understanding of external factors impacting Customer’s supply Chain & understand their sense of urgency, service needs, drivers and desires.
- Ability to align with customer expectations upfront & to be able to respond with suggested solutions
- Be the primary point of contact for own customers and ensure smooth execution of the end-to-end shipment lifecycle, including the inland delivery, by working closely with the customer as well as internal stakeholders.
- Proactively track shipments and notify customers of relevant deviations from the transport plan, including potential solutions or alternatives.
- Onboard customers and build strong and collaborative relationships, with willingness to go the extra mile towards the customers & with focus on providing solutions.
- Liaising and preparing transport plan with suppliers.
Accountable for:
- Day to day customer Relationship
- Daily operational execution
- Daily EDI updates
- SO/PO & file creation in operational systems
- Value to Maersk (efficiency, automation and standardisation)
- Protecting CSI for third party (non-Maersk) suppliers and partners.
- Ensure execution and reporting as per compliance requirements
