Role Description The Project Manager – Tanzania Spice Agri-Helix Program will lead the launch and implementation of a new commercial agricultural initiative in Tanzania, focused on developing sustainable spice value chains. The role combines project management, business development, market analysis, and field implementation, working closely with local and international teams to establish commercially viable agricultural systems.
The Project Manager will be responsible for developing work plans, coordinating cross-functional teams, managing pilot projects, building strategic partnerships, and supporting market-driven business models. The role also includes overseeing field activities, monitoring project performance, preparing reports, coordinating international technical expertise, and ensuring successful execution from planning through implementation.
The position requires relocation to Tanzania, 1 year mission.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in project management, including planning, coordination, execution, and performance monitoring.
- Strong business acumen, with experience in business development, market analysis, commercial operations, or value chain development.
- Excellent analytical skills, including experience with financial modelling and cost-benefit analysis.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams, multiple stakeholders, and complex projects.
- Relevant academic background in Business, Economics, Project Management, Agriculture, International Development, or a related field.
- Strong communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to work effectively across cultures.
- Fluent in English.
