Position Overview

The Compensation, Benefits and HR Data Analyst is a dual-impact role responsible for the administration, and compliance of our Total Rewards programs, while serving as the primary engine for HR data insights. You will ensure our pay and benefits remain competitive and equitable, while simultaneously transforming raw people data into actionable strategies that drive organizational health.

Roles And Responsibilities

Total Rewards & Market Analysis

  • Conduct market benchmarking and participate in annual salary surveys to maintain a competitive pay posture across all global regions.
  • Review and maintenance of salary scales across the company incorporating exchange rate volatility, inflation trends, market shifts, and cost of living changes
  • Maintain comprehensive Total Cost to Company (TCTC) models that account for base pay, variable incentives, employer-paid taxes, EOR fees, and both statutory and supplemental benefits.
  • Partner with the Finance team during annual budgeting exercises and periodic re-forecasts to ensure TCTC data and labor spend projections are accurately reflected in global budgets.
  • Support the job grading process by evaluating new roles to support internal equity across different jurisdictions.

International Benefits & Payroll Governance

  • Perform audits of monthly payroll change reports to verify that salary adjustments, new hire offers, and terminations are processed accurately.
  • Oversee the administration of statutory and supplemental benefit programs, ensuring they remain compliant with local labor laws and internal company policies.
  • Manage the technical execution of annual pay reviews and other compensation projects such as variable pay or bonuses.
  • Support with job offer creation and review at the group level
  • Partner with country teams, EORs, and brokers to ensure benefit offerings are culturally relevant, financially sustainable, and aligned with Jaza’s policies.

People Analytics & HRIS Integrity

  • Build and manage HR dashboards that provide visibility into turnover, headcount, diversity, and time-to-fill across all markets.
  • Interpret employee data to identify patterns that signal retention risks, staffing gaps, or unusual labor patterns
  • Act as the primary technical point of contact for leadership inquiries regarding organizational structure, workforce demographics, and labor spend.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years specifically focused on compensation and benefits administration in a pan-African context.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field that supports a data-driven approach to HR.
  • Proven experience auditing complex payroll change reports
  • Advanced technical skills in Excel or Google Sheets, data cleaning and data analysis.
  • Experience building and maintaining "Total Cost to Company" (TCTC) models across different currencies.
  • Strong ability to handle sensitive, confidential information with the "auditor's mindset" necessary for spotting data discrepancies.
  • High level of proficiency in establishing and maintaining HRIS/HRMS platforms to ensure they serve as a scalable "source of truth" for international data.
  • Cross-cultural fluency and the ability to communicate technical or financial data clearly to stakeholders in different regions.
  • Self-motivated and highly organized, with the ability to manage recurring reporting cycles in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
