Tumaini La Maisha (TLM) Tanzania is a Tanzanian NGO with registration number 01435 based in Dar es Salaam and has its registered address at P.O. Box 65030. TLM supports the National Children's Cancer Network including government hospitals across the country for over 19 centers. Our overarching objective is to improve the quality of free pediatric oncology care across Tanzania and provide access to all children in need. Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented experienced IT software coder specifically proficient in complex Excel Coding to support our data operations, reporting, and automation efforts. This role combines advanced Excel proficiency with programming skills to streamline processes, manage large data sets and deliver accurate, actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain Excel-based tools including medical/chemotherapy prescription tools, reports, templates, and models.
• Write complex Excel formulas, macros (VBA), and pivot tables to analyze and present data effectively.
• Develop and maintain scripts and small applications using programming languages (e.g., Python, SQL, JavaScript, or R) for data processing and automation.
• Clean, manipulate, and validate large datasets from multiple sources.
• Collaborate with other departments to understand data and reporting requirements.
• Generate automated reports and streamline data workflows for operational efficiency.
• Troubleshoot data-related issues and offer timely solutions.
• Ensure accuracy, integrity, and security of data at all times.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience in advanced Microsoft Excel coding (formulas, pivot tables, charts, VBA/macros).
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, SQL, or R.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with databases and data integration.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications (Optional):

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or Google Sheets scripting.
• Knowledge of APIs or web scraping for data collection (optional).
• Experience in automation tools or ERP systems (e.g., Power Automate, Zapier).
