Job role

Job Purpose

To safely transport employees, supplies, and company resources while maintaining vehicle safety, cleanliness, and compliance with company policies, road traffic regulations, and SHERQ standards to support efficient business operations.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

• Transport employees and work equipment to and from work locations.
• Inspect the vehicle before and after daily use to ensure transportation safety.
• Report any challenges, defects, or mechanical faults promptly.
• Drive in compliance with all road safety regulations and vehicle operating procedures.
• Participate in regular safety meetings and safety-related training sessions.
• Adhere to and comply with Kilombero Sugar Company's procedures, policies, and safety guidelines under SHERQ, as well as Anti-Bribery and Corruption (ABC) regulations.
• Ensure the vehicle always remains clean and clean immediately whenever necessary.
• Observe personal safety, the safety of others, and environmental protection requirements.

Qualifications

Job Qualification and Experience

• Secondary education, Form Four level or above.
• At least two (2) years of driving experience.
• Valid driving licence.
• Driving training certificate from a government-recognized institution such as VETA.
• Knowledge of road signs and traffic laws.
