DRIVERS (VOLUNTEER)
Location: Dar es Salaam, Dodoma, Mwanza, Makambako (with frequent travel across the regions) Positions: 10
About MSI Tanzania MSI Tanzania, a Non-Governmental Organization, is a social enterprise and a leading provider of family planning, sexual and reproductive health care, and allied services.
Responsibilities
- Driving a vehicle as per MSI's policy & guidelines under the supervision of the Fleet Coordinator.
- Making retirement of the reimbursements issued for the assignments upon completion of activities.
- Providing the required support to the staff passengers including ensuring timely starting & ending of trips.
- Supporting the distribution of office parcels as per instructions given by the Fleet Coordinator or Logistics team.
- Proper handling of the vehicle, including ensuring vehicle security, cleanness, and supervising the vehicle at the garage during inspection and maintenance.
- Making minor and simple vehicle repairs, such as changing flat tires whenever there is a need.
- Proper keeping of vehicle records, including services and trips made, in the logbook.
- Preparing and sharing monthly reports as directed by the Fleet Coordinator.
- Taking full responsibility for daily vehicle management, including proper fuel utilization, as well as flagging out any risks for timely solutions.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications:
- Possessing a valid driving license of grade B (grade E is an added advantage).
- Valid Driving certificate from a reputable institution.
- Computer literate, presenting a certificate of a basic computer application course.
Experience:
- Experience working with NGO(s) is required.
- Ready to travel in upcountry regions.
Skills:
- Ability to network and create positive, mutually co-operative relationships.
- Strong administrative skills.
- Pro-active and self-initiated.
