A Rider plays a crucial role in facilitating the movement of goods, spare parts and essential operational documents across the Container Freight Station (CFS), Inland Container Depot (ICD), and transportation facilities. This position requires the rider to deliver critical materials, assist in loading/unloading, and ensure timely communication and transport between various logistics points. The rider will also be responsible for ensuring the safe operation of any machinery parts or vehicles they handle during transportation.

Qualifications for A Rider 

Riding Skills and Licensing:

• Must possess a valid motorcycle driving license.
• Demonstrated expertise in riding motorcycles safely in urban and off-road conditions.
• Knowledge of traffic laws and regulations.

Communication Skills:

• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively via radio or mobile communication devices.
• Proficient in writing concise and accurate reports.

Situational Awareness:

• Ability to identify and respond to potential security threats or risks during transit.
• Skilled in observing surroundings and maintaining vigilance throughout the journey.

Problem-Solving Skills:

• Quick decision-making ability in emergencies, including breakdowns or security incidents.
• Ability to coordinate and report promptly to the control center for immediate assistance.

Physical Fitness:

• Good physical condition to handle the demands of long hours of riding and dealing with potential security challenges.

Professional Conduct:

• Polite, disciplined, and professional demeanor in interactions with clients, drivers, and authorities.
• Strong ethical behavior and integrity to ensure accountability and trustworthiness.

Experience:

• At least two years of experience in a similar role, preferably in security escort services.
• Familiarity with container handling operations and escort procedures is an added advantage.

Knowledge of Routes:

• Good knowledge of the routes from the Port to HESU, including alternate routes in case of diversions or emergencies.

Equipment Handling:

• Proficiency in handling radios, and other escort-related equipment.
