JOB SUMMARY:

RiseChamp School is seeking a fluent, passionate, and engaging Chinese Language Teacher to introduce and teach Mandarin to our pupils. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating an immersive learning environment, developing basic conversational skills, teaching proper pronunciation (Pinyin), and fostering an appreciation for Chinese culture among young learners.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Instruction Delivery: Plan and deliver age-appropriate, interactive Mandarin lessons focusing on basic vocabulary, speaking, listening, and introductory character writing.
• Curriculum Development: Design a creative foundational syllabus and learning materials tailored for primary and pre-primary school children.
• Cultural Engagement: Organize small school cultural events or activities (such as Chinese calligraphy, songs, or festival celebrations) to make learning fun and engaging.
• Assessment & Progress Tracking: Monitor each child's language acquisition progress and provide regular updates to parents and the Head Teacher.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

• A Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Foreign Languages, Education, or a related field.
• Mandarin Proficiency: Minimum of HSK 4 or HSK 5 certification is mandatory for non-native speakers.
• Prior experience teaching Chinese/Mandarin to children or working in an elementary school setup is highly preferred.
• Excellent bilingual communication skills in both English and Kiswahili to facilitate smooth learning.
