Lecturer at The College of Business Education (CBE)

The College of Business Education (CBE) was established in 1965 and has played a key role in building the nation’s commercial and industrial capacity since independence. With its main campus in Dar es Salaam and additional campuses in Dodoma, Mwanza, and Mbeya, the College offers a wide range of programs at both Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels. Today, CBE provides education to over 6,740 students across all campuses, offering opportunities in fields such as business, management, and commerce. The institution is committed to fostering knowledge and expertise to meet the demands of the growing commercial sector in Tanzania.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Lecturer located at the Mwanza campus. The primary responsibilities include preparing and delivering lectures, developing and updating course materials, conducting research, and providing academic guidance to students. The Lecturer will also participate in curriculum development, contribute to the assessment of student progress, and engage in service to the College, such as participating in departmental or campus activities.

Qualifications

• Strong teaching, presentation, and course management skills
• Expertise in research, academic writing, and curriculum development
• Ability to mentor and guide students academically
• Proficiency in using educational technology and tools
• Commitment to collaboration, teamwork, and fostering a positive learning environment
• Master's degree or higher in a relevant field (a PhD is highly desirable)
• Previous teaching or lecturing experience is an advantage
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Attention to detail and the ability to meet academic and administrative deadlines
