Job Description
Well-established Cambridge International School in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania, is seeking qualified and dedicated educators to fill multiple teaching positions for the upcoming academic year starting in August 2024. The school offers a rigorous Cambridge curriculum and maintains high education and student development standards.
- Grade 1 Teachers (2 positions):
- Responsible for teaching and nurturing students in Grade 1.
- Develop lesson plans, deliver engaging lessons, and assess student progress.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Grade 2 Teacher:
- Responsible for teaching and guiding students in Grade 2.
- Plan and implement effective instructional strategies.
- Assess student learning and provide constructive feedback.
- Grade 4 Teacher:
- Responsible for teaching and facilitating the learning of Grade 4 students.
- Design and implement curriculum-aligned lessons.
- Assess student performance and provide individualized support.
- Upper Primary English Teacher:
- Specialize in teaching English language and literature to upper primary students.
- Foster a love for reading, writing, and effective communication skills.
- Create engaging learning experiences that promote language proficiency.
- Lower Secondary English Teacher:
- Teach English language and literature to lower secondary students.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive English curriculum.
- Enhance students' critical thinking, reading, and writing abilities.
- Lower Secondary Science Teacher:
- Teach lower secondary students science subjects (e.g., biology, chemistry, physics).
- Deliver engaging lessons using hands-on experiments and demonstrations.
- Assess students' scientific knowledge and skills.
- Lower Secondary Maths Teacher:
- Specialize in teaching mathematics to lower secondary students.
- Create interactive and challenging lessons to develop mathematical thinking.
- Evaluate student understanding through assessments and provide targeted support.
- Information Technology and Maths Teacher:
- Teach information technology and mathematics subjects.
- Integrate technology into the curriculum to enhance student learning.
- Develop students' problem-solving and computational thinking skills.
- Preschool Teacher:
- Provide a nurturing and stimulating environment for preschool-aged children.
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities.
- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth.
10.SPECIAL NEEDS TEACHER

Provide assistance to special needs children
All teachers will be expected to:
- Maintain a safe and supportive classroom environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and instructional strategies.
- Assess student progress, provide feedback, and maintain accurate records.
- Communicate with parents/guardians regarding student achievements and areas for improvement.
- Stay updated with educational best practices and participate in professional development opportunities.
