Electrical Engineer at DP World Tanzania

Job Function (Fixed Term Contract):

Implement and plan preventive, corrective maintenance of all electrical infrastructure / QC / RTG / MHC cranes within the Ports and Terminals as per DP World standards for both safety and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnosing and troubleshooting the electric faults according to the manufacture process to maintain a high reliability level of land equipment.
• Leading the shift team and ensure all activities are done according to the manufacture recommendations.
• Leading all planned projects like overhauling and refurbishment of electric systems.
• Carrying out the planned, preventative, corrective, and emergency maintenance at all land equipment and other equipment as necessary in the business unit.
• Following up and ensuring implementation of safety regulations for all maintenance activities in the land equipment.
• Applying the safety and engineering standard to be aligned with SOP and Risk assessment.
• Ensuring full implementation of an effective reporting system and KPI for Engineering Department like PM compliance and EM and CM workorders
• Conducting TBTs and safety awareness to all shift team members.
• Ensuring a record of all shift activities in the Maximo system.

Qualifications Required:

• Bachelor Educational Degree in Electric, Electronics Engineering and other related fields.
• Must be registered by CRB.

Experience and Skills Required:

• Overall, 1 -3 years’ experience in engineering electric systems (CAN-BUS) of earth movers’ machines and land equipment.
• Extensive Knowledge of Simens PLC & Simovert Drives system is must with good troubleshooting skill.
• Detailed technical knowledge of critical electrical/electronic components, measuring instruments and their appropriate maintenance, inspection, and testing.
• Exposure to ZPMC, Kone Cranes, Liebherr would be highly desirable.
• Fully Conversant with Safety Procedures.
• Experience of electrical systems of land equipment.
• Prefer to have experience in the ports and terminals equipment.
• Very Good English language both spoken and written.
