Senior Electrician at Lake Cement Ltd (Nyati Cement)

A senior electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, and for overseeing the work of junior electricians

• Should be able to lead a team and develop his juniors

Key Responsibilities:

• To achieve Zero Harm / Incident in his area of maintenance responsibilities / sections by way of identifying, reporting and taking corrective actions on unsafe conditions, unsafe acts etc.
• Maintaining good housekeeping on his sections as per guidelines / requirement of the Plant Management / HOD E&I
• To achieve the equipment reliability more than 98% by routine walk by inspections and getting done the identified tasks on priority basis
• Assist Manager Electrical in Job planning, maintenance preparations, manpower and other resources for preventive maintenance, breakdowns and planned shutdowns etc.
• Operation and maintenance of electrical equipment such as transformers, MCC feeders, PCC feeders, cable jointing, motor testing, safety device testing, VCB and ACB, relay, control circuit drawing, and power circuit drawing for fault tracing
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults in equipment
• Perform routine maintenance on electrical equipment to ensure its safe and efficient operation
• Maintain and repair Stacker and Reclaimer, Packer and Truck loading machines, LRS, and HT motors
• Ensure compliance with ISO standards and electrical safety regulations
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs
• Train and mentor junior electricians

Education & Certification:

• VETA certification from a reputed institution

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of experience
