Convergent Billing System (CBS) Engineer at Yas Tanzania

We are seeking a Convergent Billing System (CBS) Engineer with a University degree in Information Technology, Electronics, or Computer Science and a minimum of 2 years of experience.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Implement upgrades, patches, and new features, testing them to ensure compatibility and minimal disruption to billing operations.
• Provide systems support and preventive maintenance for the Billing system (CBS) and generate Performance Reports.
• Work with vendors and third-party providers for system enhancements or integrations with other business systems.
• Collaborate with product development teams to design, configure, and deploy new products and services within the billing system.
• Work closely with IT, Finance, and Customer Service teams to identify system requirements and resolve issues related to billing processes.
• Implement best practices for cloud security, compliance, and disaster recovery, especially in classified environments.
• Ensure availability of CBS files and dumps on the CBS mediation side and deliver daily file count status reports into DWH.

COMPETENCIES

• Proficiency in Linux/Unix-based systems, Databases, Networks, and Server Management for handling backend operations.
• Experience with Kubernetes for managing containerized applications and workloads.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker.
