MACHINE TECHNICIAN

Location: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania Reporting to: Maintenance / Engineering Manager

Bakhresa Food Products Ltd is seeking a skilled and experienced Machine Technician to join our team in Dar es Salaam. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and repairing production machinery to ensure smooth and continuous operations.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years relevant experience as a Machine Technician or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of industrial machinery and maintenance procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate, inspect, maintain, and repair production machines and equipment.
• Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Diagnose mechanical and technical faults and carry out timely repairs.
• Ensure machines operate efficiently and safely according to standards.
• Maintain maintenance records and machine service logs.
• Coordinate with production and engineering teams to minimize downtime.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and company regulations.
• Support installation and commissioning of new machines when required.
