1.0 MARKETING OFFICER GRADE II - 3 Posts

Duties and Responsibilities:

• To sell advertisement space.
• To direct and attend customers.
• To prepare periodic sales reports.
• To collect advertisement revenue.
• To develop individual objectives/targets and all performance standards as part of the individual performance agreement in consultation with the head of section.
• To appoint newspaper agents and identify more distribution and selling points.
• To collect sales proceeds, receives.
• To verify returned newspapers.
• To monitors newspaper delivery and report status to Head office on daily basis.
• To prepare weekly and monthly circulation sales and newspaper returns collection and sales reports.
• To conduct market surveillance and intelligence to check the performance of TSN against competitors’ products.
• To perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisors.

Qualifications and Experience:

Holder of Bachelor Degree in one of the following fields: Economics, Agricultural Economics, Marketing, Sales, Entrepreneurship, Commerce or Business Administration majoring in Marketing, Sales, Entrepreneurship or equivalent qualifications from recognized institutions.

2.0 ASSISTANT GRAPHIC DESIGNER II - 2 Posts

Duties and Responsibilities:

• To design attractive pages and advertising art work.
• To prepare and apply infographics and data.
• To receive and prepare pages printing layout.
• To ensure accuracy in final product.
• To advise the News Desk on the best page design.
• To prepare plates for printing.
• To perform any other related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience:

Holder of a Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE)/Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (ACSEE) PLUS Certificate in Graphic Design or equivalent qualification from recognized Institutions.

3.0 ICT OFFICER GRADE II - DEVELOPER - 2 Posts

Duties and Responsibilities:

• To develop back end front end connectivity.
• To design, implement and test data base.
• To implement security and access control into data base.
• To ensure software purchase are implemented timely.
• To install, configure and update anti-virus software.
• To alert users on various security, risks, threat, and vulnerabilities.
• To implement security mechanism and controls in computer system.
• To design, install and configure LAN and WAN infrastructure.
• To test network equipment and devices.
• To implement network security guidelines.
• To perform network trouble shooting and repair.
• To develop and test web pages and multimedia content.
• To update web pages and multimedia.
• To implement security for web pages and multimedia content.
• To key in data and upload formatted data to computer server.
• To validate, check, verify dates and times input to and output from information systems.
• To analyze user requirements.
• To perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisors.

Qualifications and Experience:

Holder of Bachelor Degree in one of the following fields: Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or equivalent computer qualifications from recognized institutions.

4.0 ENGINEER GRADE II - ELECTRICAL - 1 Post

Duties and Responsibilities:

• To perform operational checks on equipment.
• To operate all equipment associated with printing operations.
• To gather materials necessary to print.
• To plan both routine and periodic maintenance.
• To perform operator preventative maintenance.
• To ensure thorough and accurate completion of reports, logs, production tags, etc.
• To interpret computer printouts for job, material, and cylinder requirements.
• To ensure safe handling and storage of print rolls.
• To maintain safety in the work area.
• To maintain cleanliness and housekeeping in the work area.
• To assign and supervise work for technicians.
• To perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisors.

Qualifications and Experience:

Holder of Bachelor Degree in one of the following fields: Electrical, Electronics Engineering or equivalent qualifications from recognized institutions. Must be registered by ERB as Graduate Engineer.
