Job Description
Lead and supervise the shift of emergency response team for all section to performing routine Emergency repair, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and urgent repairs on STS, RTG, FL, and MHC fleets and also supervise facility, workshop ERT for any emergence repair and follow up with operation team for all technical challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise the shift engineering team in performing routine checks, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and urgent repairs on STS, RTG, FL, and MHC fleets.
- Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and PLC control system faults efficiently to minimize equipment downtime.
- Authorize and manage the safe isolation and re-energization of high-voltage equipment (e.g., STS Cranes, RTGs).
- Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with OEM specifications, technical manuals, and company engineering standards.
- Provide real-time updates on equipment status, expected repair times, and resource allocation to optimize operational decision-making.
- Coordinate "hot seat" changes and planned maintenance windows with operations to minimize impact on vessel, gate, and yard productivity.
- Champion a "Safety First" culture, ensuring all engineering activities comply with terminal safety procedures, permit-to-work systems, and international standards (e.g., LOLER, ISO).
- Conduct daily toolbox talks and safety briefings with the engineering team.
- Manage, mentor, and motivate shift-based technicians and engineers.
- Conduct on-the-job training and performance assessments to develop team competency.
- Ensuring full implementation of an effective reporting system and KPI for Engineering Department like PM compliance and EM and CM workorders.
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor Educational Degree in Electric, Mechanical Engineering and other related fields.
- Must be registered by CRB.
Experience and Skills Required:
- Overall, 1 -3 years’ experience in engineering electric systems for machines and land equipment.
- Fully Conversant with Safety Procedures.
- Experience of electrical systems of cranes and equipment’s.
- Prefer to have experience in the ports and terminals equipment.
- Very Good English language both spoken and written.
