Job Opportunity: Credit Officer (Female Applicants Only)
Location: Arusha, Tanzania
Jawabu Financial Services Ltd is a dynamic financial institution dedicated to answering the needs of our community. We provide loans that empower clients and strengthen communities. To support our continued growth, we are seeking motivated Credit Officers (Afisa Mikopo) to join our team in Arusha.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, recruit, and retain clients for both group loans and upcoming individual loan products.
- Conduct loan assessments, appraisals, and ensure compliance with company lending policies.
- Monitor loan performance, follow up with clients, and ensure timely repayment.
- Provide financial guidance and support to clients, strengthening trust and long-term relationships.
- Actively promote Jawabu Financial Services Ltd within the community to expand outreach and visibility.
- Organize and facilitate group meetings to explain loan terms, repayment schedules, and financial literacy topics.
- Maintain accurate client records and prepare reports for management and regulatory purposes.
- Support the transition and rollout of new individual loan products by engaging potential clients and educating them on benefits.
- Build strong networks with local leaders, businesses, and community stakeholders to enhance client recruitment.
- Resolve client concerns promptly and professionally to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
- Contribute ideas and feedback to improve loan products, processes, and service delivery.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Certificate or Diploma level.
- Must be a resident of Arusha, with strong familiarity with the city and its surroundings.
- Age from 25 to 40 years.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in microfinance, credit management, or customer service will be an added advantage.
