Job Description

As the Risk and Compliance Officer, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding our financial institution by identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks while ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements. You will be responsible for implementing and monitoring compliance programs, conducting risk assessments, and fostering a culture of ethical behavior across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the risk management and compliance frameworks in line with regulatory requirements and best practices.

  • Conduct regular risk assessments and compliance audits to identify potential risks and ensure adherence to internal policies and external regulations.
  • Collaborate with various departments to create and update policies and procedures that promote compliance and reduce risk exposure.
  • Monitor and report on compliance issues, providing guidance and support to management and staff on compliance matters.
  • Stay up to date with changes in regulations and industry trends to ensure the organization’s risk management and compliance practices are current and effective.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Law, Business Administration, or a related field. A minimum of 3 years of experience in risk management, compliance, or a related role Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in risk management and compliance.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify and assess complex risks. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and guide stakeholders at all levels.

JOB LOCATION

  • The position will be based at AML Finance Headquarters in Mwenge Dar es Salaam.
