Job Description
The Public Service Recruitment Secretariat (PSRS) is a government agency in Tanzania that helps recruit people to work in the public service. The PSRS was created by the Public Service Act of 2002 and amended by the Act of 2007.
The PSRS helps public institutions, including ministries, departments, agencies, regional secretariats, and local government authorities, find people with the right skills for their jobs. The PSRS aims to adhere to principles of fairness, impartiality, transparency, and meritocracy in the public service.
The mission of PSRS is to undertake the recruitment of public servants using modern approaches by adhering to principles of equity, transparency, and merit, as well as providing advice to employers on employment-related matters.
Human resources are a crucial and significant factor in public service delivery; thus, PSRS has been given the role of recruiting public servants in a fair, transparent, and timely manner while observing and guaranteeing quality and access to all applicants to deliver equitable service in Tanzania.
Our aim is to improve government public service on issues concerning the recruitment process according to our rules and regulations and at the same time enhance good relations with our stakeholders. The organization is an equal opportunity employer.
