Health & Safety Officer at Simera Transport Tanzania

Simera Transport is looking for a dedicated and organized Health & Safety Officer to join our team.

Location: Simera Yard (Kisarawe II, Kigamboni)

Requirements :

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS), Transport and Logistics and Automotive Engineering (added advantage if involved in technical operations)
• NEBOSH (National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health) - International General Certificate, OSHA Tanzania Certification (must be registered and certified), First Aid Training (Red Cross, OSHA, or other recognized bodies) and Fire Safety Training Certificate
• Ability to write clear incident reports, inspection reports, and risk assessments
• Proficient in using Microsoft Word, Excel, and basic fleet/safety management software
• Can maintain PPE issuance logs, inspection checklists, and safety registers
• Ensure PPE compliance across the workshop and loading areas
• Inspect mechanics and drivers for compliance with safe working practices
• Investigate accidents or near-misses
• Ensure all fire extinguishers, first aid kits, and emergency exits are maintained
• Willing to work in yard, workshop, and on-the-road environments
