Join our dynamic team as a Health & Safety Supervisor in the thriving energy sector! This is an exciting opportunity to lead HSSE initiatives for a major project in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania, where your expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of all stakeholders involved.

Role Overview

• Embed and deploy the aims of the HSSE Policies into the Project, adhering to contract specifications.
• Integrate technical safety, health, environmental, and security reviews into project activities.
• Liaise with Risk Management to identify project risks and develop mitigation controls.
• Oversee the development of the Project Execution Plan - HSSE, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
• Develop the HSE Assessment and Loss Prevention Inspection Plan.
• Review project documentation to ensure comprehensive HSSE coverage.
• Collaborate with Project R3 for cross-functional engagement.
• Accountable for project HSSE performance reporting and communicate findings to the Project Management Team.
• Participate in project start-up processes, ensuring clarity on HSSE standards among EPC contractors.
• Facilitate the implementation of HSE processes and promote safe work practices across the project organization.
• Develop and implement HSE awareness campaigns, fostering a culture of safety.

Skills & Qualifications

• Safety & Health Education & Training: Expertise in educating teams on safety protocols.
• General Safety & Health Compliance: Strong knowledge of compliance regulations and standards.
• Accident Investigation: Proficient in conducting thorough investigations to prevent future incidents.

Education & Experience

• Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field preferred.
• Certifications: NEBOSH or equivalent health and safety certification is advantageous.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years in health and safety management within the energy or construction sectors.
