Job Description

Description of duties

  • Welcome and escorts customers to their tables and ensure they are settled comfortably
  • Understand and present menu to customers, answer queries, and make suggestions if necessary
  • Inform customers the daily specials
  • Explain the preparation and cooking methods and ingredients of various items on menu
  • Stay attentive to the needs of guests and customers
  • Take orders from customers and enter information into the computer and transmit to the respective sections
  • Deliver food and beverages from the respective sections to the customers
  • Observe relevant health and safety standards with regards to food handling
  • Perform shift duties like delivering racks of cups to the service station, rolling silverware, pre-bussing tables, wiping tables and removing debris and more.
  • Cooperate with the rest of the staff
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor

Training, skills and qualification

Certificate in Hotel Management from a recognized training college/institute

Language

Fluent in English
