Job Description

As a HR Officer (Recruitment, Selection & Employee Engagement), you will play a crucial role in the recruitment and selection process of our organization. You will be responsible for attracting, evaluating, and selecting qualified candidates for various positions within the company and will also ensure retention of our top talent.

Additionally, you will assist in the implementation of recruitment strategies, maintain candidate databases, coordinate interviews, and support other HR-related activities. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to develop their skills and gain hands-on experience in the HR field.

In addition to this you will assist with employee onboarding, performance management, employee relations, and HR recordkeeping. You will work closely with the group HR team to promote a positive and inclusive work environment and contribute to the overall success of the organization.

The basis of this role will be structured around 70% of recruitment, selection and engagement and 30% HR generalist functions.

Responsibilities:

Recruitment, Selection and Employee Engagement:

  • Sourcing candidates through various channels (job boards, social media, etc.) and conducting initial screenings.
  • Coordinate interviews, schedule appointments, and communicate with candidates throughout the recruitment process.
  • Maintain applicant tracking system and ensure accurate and up-to-date recruitment records.
  • Assist in managing the full recruitment life cycle (Attracting, sourcing, selecting, onboarding and retaining candidates).
  • Develop and support employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive work environment and enhance employee satisfaction.
  • Assist in organizing and participating in company-wide events, team-building activities, and recognition programs to promote a sense of belonging and camaraderie among employees.
  • Collaborate with various departments to identify and address employee concerns and implement strategies to improve overall employee morale and retention.
  • Conduct exit interviews and analyze data to identify trends and areas of improvement to enhance employee retention efforts.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of retention strategies, including career development plans, mentorship programs, and growth opportunities within the organization.
  • Monitor employee satisfaction surveys and feedback to gauge the effectiveness of employee engagement efforts and propose necessary improvements.

HR Administration:

  • Maintain employee records, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Assist in the preparation and distribution of HR-related documents, such as employment offer letters and contracts.
  • Support HR projects and initiatives, such as employee engagement programs, wellness activities, and HR policy updates.

Employee Relations:

  • Respond to employee inquiries and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures.
  • Assist in resolving employee conflicts or complaints through proper investigation and communication.
  • Foster positive employee relations by promoting open communication and a respectful work environment.

Performance Management:

  • Assist in the implementation of performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and development plans.
  • Assist in tracing performance review cycles, sending reminders, and compiling performance data.

Compliance and Legal Requirements:

  • Stay updated on relevant labor laws and regulations, ensuring compliance in all HR activities.

Payroll Administration:

  • Assist in processing and managing the company's payroll, ensuring accurate and timely disbursement of salaries and wages.
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with tax and labor regulations.
  • Collaborate with the finance department to reconcile payroll-related accounts and resolve any discrepancies.

Prepare payroll reports and assist with year-end payroll processes.

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or a related field.
  • Previous experience in an HR and Recruitment & Selection role is preferred.
  • Solid understanding of recruitment processes, including sourcing, screening, and interviewing techniques.
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment software.
  • Knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and employment laws.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HRIS (Human Resources Information System) software.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and handle a fast-paced work environment.
