JOB SUMMARY
Mango Tree Investment Co. Ltd. is looking for an experienced, professional and highly responsible Human Resources Manager to join our growing team in Dar es Salaam.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Company's Human Resources functions, including:
- Recruitment
- Employee relations
- Performance management
- Disciplinary procedures
- Labour law compliance
- HR documentation
The position is primarily focused on Human Resources Management. However, in addition to HR responsibilities, the successful candidate will also be required to support the Company with other administrative, office management and operational duties as reasonably assigned by management according to business needs.
We are looking for a highly organized HR professional who is very proficient with computers and Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel, and who is capable of handling a large volume of documentation and data accurately and efficiently.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Human Resources Management
- Manage the Company's day-to-day Human Resources operations.
- Lead recruitment, interviewing, selection and employee onboarding.
- Prepare and maintain employment contracts and employee personnel files.
- Manage employee attendance, leave and performance matters.
- Handle employee grievances, complaints and workplace conflicts professionally and objectively.
- Manage disciplinary procedures in accordance with Company policies and applicable Tanzanian labour laws.
- Advise management on employee-related and HR matters.
- Develop and implement HR policies, procedures and internal regulations.
- Ensure compliance with applicable Tanzanian labour and employment requirements.
- Coordinate payroll information and other statutory HR requirements.
- Manage employee performance appraisal and development.
- Support employee retention and workforce planning.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of employee and Company information.
Documentation & Computer-Based Work
- Prepare HR contracts, letters, notices, reports, policies and other official documents.
- Maintain accurate digital and physical employee records.
- Manage and update HR databases and Excel records.
- Prepare regular HR reports and management reports.
- Handle a large volume of HR documentation and data using a computer.
- Ensure documents are properly formatted, organized, filed and easily accessible.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date digital records.
Administrative & Operational Support
- In addition to HR responsibilities, undertake other administrative, office management and operational duties as reasonably assigned by the Company from time to time.
- Assist management with administrative coordination and internal company matters when required.
- Support the Company in maintaining an organized, efficient and professional working environment.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant Human Resources experience.
- Candidates with more than 5 years of relevant experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Bachelor's Degree in:
- Human Resources Management
- Business Administration
- Industrial Relations
- Or a related field
- Strong practical knowledge of Tanzanian Labour Law and employment regulations.
- Proven experience in employee relations, grievance handling and disciplinary procedures.
- Experience handling workplace conflicts and sensitive employee matters.
- Excellent computer skills are mandatory.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel is required.
- Must be comfortable working with large volumes of documents, reports, employee records and data on a daily basis.
- Strong document preparation, formatting, Excel data management and reporting skills.
- Ability to organize, maintain and retrieve digital HR records efficiently.
- Experience with HR management systems or other digital HR tools is an advantage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- High level of integrity, professionalism and confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple responsibilities.
- Experience in real estate, construction, property management or a related industry will be an advantage.
