Job Description

Sanku is looking for a strategic and innovative Talent & Recruitment Manager to lead our talent acquisition and employer branding efforts across East Africa. Reporting to the Director of People Operations, East Africa, this role will be responsible for designing and executing recruitment strategies, managing end-to-end hiring processes, and building strong talent pipelines. The ideal candidate will also play a key role in onboarding, succession planning, and learning and development initiatives to ensure Sanku attracts, retains, and grows top talent.

Primary Work Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of talent acquisition strategies aligned with Sanku PHC's goals.
  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from job posting to onboarding, ensuring a seamless candidate experience.
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines for critical roles and future Sanku PHC needs.
  • Develop and promote Sanku’s employer brand across various platforms and networks.
  • Collaborate with HRBPs and hiring managers to forecast staffing needs and develop job descriptions.
  • Use data and analytics to evaluate hiring trends and improve recruitment effectiveness.
  • Design and implement onboarding programs that accelerate new hire integration and performance.
  • Support succession planning and career development frameworks across departments.
  • Provide expertise in learning and development, identifying training needs and coordinating learning initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in talent acquisition, recruitment, or HR, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or related field.
  • Proven success in designing and executing recruitment strategies in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of employer branding, talent pipelines, and onboarding best practices.
  • Experience with HRIS and recruitment platforms (e.g., BambooHR, LinkedIn).
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills.
  • Passion for social impact and alignment with Sanku’s mission.
