Role Summary:

The Digital Media Specialist is responsible for leading Vodacom Tanzania’s digital presence across owned digital channels. The role drives digital strategy, social media performance, content planning, audience engagement, digital innovation, social listening and analytics to strengthen brand visibility, customer engagement and business performance. Working closely with internal stakeholders and agency partners, the role ensures all digital initiatives are insight-led, measurable and aligned to business objectives.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership

Digital Strategy & Channel Management

    • Develop and implement Vodacom’s digital and social media strategy in line with business and marketing objectives.
    • Manage and optimise the brand’s presence across all owned digital platforms.
    • Identify opportunities to grow digital audiences, engagement and brand advocacy.
      Content Strategy & Campaign Delivery
    • Lead digital content planning and oversee agency execution across all digital channels.
    • Ensure content is aligned with brand guidelines, campaign objectives and audience insights.
    • Support the successful execution of integrated digital campaigns

    Digital Performance & Analytics

    • Monitor and evaluate digital campaign performance using analytics and reporting tools.
    • Generate actionable insights and recommend optimisation opportunities to improve performance.
    • Track key digital KPIs and provide regular performance reports to stakeholders.

    Social Listening & Digital Innovation

    • Monitor brand sentiment, customer conversations, competitor activity and emerging digital trends.
    • Identify opportunities for real-time engagement, innovation and continuous improvement.
    • Recommend new tools, technologies and best practices that enhance digital performance.

    Stakeholder & Agency Management

    • Partner with internal teams to deliver integrated digital initiatives.
    • Manage relationships with creative, media and digital agency partner(s) to ensure quality and timely delivery.
    • Provide strategic digital guidance to support marketing and communication initiatives.
